Maddox Mingay has spent his school holidays launching his online pet product business Pets N Paws.
Pets N Paws was established by Mingay with the goal of selling products that would improve the lives of pets, as well as their owners.
The 15-year-old, who is the son of Australian stunt driver Matt Mingay, set up the business during the break wanting to know how to develop a website.
“I wanted to do something unique like start a website and know how to do it,” he said.
“I just saw a couple of YouTube videos and I was inspired to do it and I just wanted to give it a go and see how it went.”
The result is an online store that sells a wide range of high-quality goods and services to pet owners.
“We sell pet products that are all unique, like cool, little gadgets,” Mingay continued.
“It’s been doing good, it was pretty good before I started promoting it and then my dad helped promote it, so it’s been going really good.
“We’ll be expanding the range shortly and just having more products flowing in slowly over time.”
Mingay, who will be studying business and digital media this year, is planning to keep the business running on his return to school.
“Yeah, most likely, if it keeps up the good work and it keeps on going good, I’ll probably keep it up.”
He believes that running the business online will aid him in balancing his work and study.
“Hosting the business online makes it a lot easier, I reckon online stores are the way to go, especially after COVID.”
